Job title: Bio Packaging Technician 3rd Shift
About the Role Join a team operating biological packaging lines at Zoetis in Lincoln, NE. You will operate packaging equipment, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with others to ensure safe, compliant manufacturing and quality results.
What You'll Do
- Record Keeping and Documentation: maintain timecards, batch records, logbooks, and related documentation.
- Equipment: operate PLC-controlled packaging line, vision system; clean production equipment and facilities; set up/disassemble production equipment; operate in-process devices; operate material handling devices (electric pallet jack, manual pallet jacks, hi-lifts); apply the metric system for process calculations.
- SOPs / cGMPs: follow all SOPs/cGMPs applicable to the area; apply proper housekeeping; follow dress and secondary gowning policies.
- Safety: practice good safety techniques, including lock-out/tag-out; read and interpret MSDSs; properly use PPE as required (safety shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, hearing protection).
- Decision Making: delegate questionable issues upward; follow directions; know when to stop the process for anomalies; learn to identify out-of-spec material.
- Process: familiar with production/process flow; know proper staging and storage locations for supplies and equipment; learn key terminology; communicate effectively with peers and supervisor.
- Personal Computer Skills: perform PC tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; language and math skills; basic mechanical skills; ability to read procedures; comfortable with Windows-based PC applications; meets physical requirements.
- Experience: minimum one year in a manufacturing environment; preferred experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
- Physical Position Requirements: able to lift and move heavy objects with proper technique; prolonged standing; able to lift 20-40 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs occasionally; flexible hours and overtime; ability to navigate stairs/ladders.
- Work Environment: exposure to cleaning chemicals, product dust/particulate, loud noise, temperature variations, and heights up to 25 ft.
Nice to Have
- Technical school certificate, or 1-2 years of college.
- Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers.
- Knowledge of Windows-based PC applications.
