Purpose

Own program and project management for BIM Central end to end — accountable for the operating rhythm, planning discipline, and the deadlines and quality standards the team delivers against. This role sets the bar and is answerable for reliable, on-time execution.

About BIM Central

BIM Central is a cross-functional team within GOES-Tech that leads Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy across the asset lifecycle — from site search, through construction, into operations, asset management, and retrofits. The team makes building data accessible, trustworthy, and compliant, governs the vendor relationships and licensing behind it, convenes the design and construction community across Amazon, and puts that data to work advancing Amazon’s digital-twin vision, where disciplined planning and reliable, on-time execution are essential. This role exists to establish and drive that rigor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery: set and enforce planning discipline, own the project plans of record, and drive the team to the deadlines and quality bar — responsible for outcomes and for resolving risks, dependencies, and blockers.

  • Own tooling & standards: define how the team plans and works, own the project-management tooling and set the standards and system of record that everyone operates within.

  • Drive reporting end to end: own the data, accuracy, and delivery of all external reporting (goal updates, Flash Reports) surfacing risks and program health proactively so nothing reaches leadership by surprise.

  • Drive the operating cadence: own the recurring team forums (set the agenda, drive decisions and follow-through, and hold owners accountable to their commitments).

  • Drive planning: own the goal-setting and Quarterly Planning process — orchestrate inputs, drive alignment, and be accountable for the team’s commitments landing on time.

  • Own the BIM Summit end to end: accountable for the outcome of the bi-annual BIM Summit — agenda, content, facilitation, logistics, and results.

Qualifications

  • Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience with basic web-based tools and products like Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Preferred qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • PMP and experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Familiarity with the AEC domain, BIM, or construction technology.
