About this role

BIM Modeler

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your design and modelling expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll contribute to the integration and delivery of infra sub-system design for various projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every detail. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Infra Sub-System Technical Managers, Design Leaders, and Construction Managers), analyze installation drawings, and ensure seamless design integration, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of authoring models and producing CADs to describe infra sub-system design intent, but also ensure clash detection and volume clearance checks.

We’ll look to you for:

Reading and analyzing installation drawings from civil work partners

Authoring models and producing CADs from the model

Ensuring sub-system design integration for wayside subsystem installation

Completing civil work drawings with sub-system data

Ensuring clash detection and volume clearance checks

Following instructions from the contract, BIM execution plan, or CAD manual

Using the Common Data Environment (CDE) for project-related tasks

Assisting the Construction & Delivery team in reviewing CW delivery in line with the integrated design

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

Degree in CAD design or a related field, with a focus on electromechanical systems

Experience in Mechanical and Electrical design

Deep knowledge of software such as AutoCAD by Autodesk, Revit, Navisworks, and Bentley (2D and 3D)

Understanding of interfaces with other systems, particularly with concrete civil work

Familiarity with infra products and solutions across various market segments (e.g., Tram, Metro, Mainline)

A proactive and team-oriented mindset

Ability to work independently when needed
