About the Role The Billing Specialist performs billing research to ensure requisitions are ready to bill, determines appropriate billing codes, and enters data into the billing system. This role requires initiative to troubleshoot billing issues across TRL locations and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. What You'll Do
- Perform billing research and problem solving using internal systems and internet resources to locate missing requisitions, verify insurance/diagnosis information, resolve discrepancies, and respond to status inquiries.
- Determine whether an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) and/or Uninsured Patient Letter is required.
- Enter billing information into billing and related business office applications (scrubbers) for edits as appropriate (Rhodes Fusion Scrubber, Antrim, Fast Orders, etc.).
