Billing Analyst

About the Role Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join a construction-focused organization in Mississauga, Ontario on a contract basis. The role supports accurate invoicing and revenue tracking across active projects, partnering with project teams and finance to ensure timely, accurate billing. The ideal candidate has strong billing, contract review, and hands-on Jonas Construction Software experience. What You'll Do

• Create and issue client invoices aligned with contract terms, completed work, and milestones.
• Use Jonas Construction Software to administer project billing records, monitor job costs, and maintain contract information.
• Review agreements, purchase documents, change requests, and authorizations to confirm billing accuracy and completeness.
• Track invoicing timelines across multiple projects and identify revenue ready to be billed but not yet processed.
• Prepare various billing formats, including progress-based invoices, time-and-material billings, and scheduled recurring charges.
• Respond to customer questions about invoices, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner.
• Work with project managers and accounting staff to reconcile billing activity and ensure financial records remain accurate.
• Maintain organized documentation for contracts, invoice support, and related billing records for audit and reporting purposes.
• Review accounts receivable aging, follow up on overdue balances, and contribute to month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations. What We're Looking For
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in billing, project accounting, construction accounting, or accounts receivable.
• Practical, hands-on experience using Jonas Construction Software in a billing or accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of invoicing processes, payment tracking, and billing administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.
• Ability to interpret contracts, purchase orders, and change documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: 25-28 CAD hourly.
