About the role
Join CMHC as a Bilingual Specialist, Multi-Unit Underwriter, Housing Program and play a key role in advancing housing solutions across Canada. Opportunities are available within the Apartment Construction Loan Program (ACLP) and other housing program teams. In these roles, you will use your financial and underwriting expertise along with your client relationship skills to support the construction of new rental housing projects, including large scale developments and initiatives that contribute to the development and scaling of affordable housing solutions.
This is for multiple temporary positions of a duration ranging from 18 to 24 months.
What you'll do
- Apply sound judgement and decision-making practices based on complex financial analysis while making recommendations.
- Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs, objectives, and explore opportunities.
- Act as a direct lender under the ACLP program or under BCH’s funding initiatives: review, underwrite, prioritize and approve loan applications while assessing financial viability and adherence to the program's policies and operational procedures.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and make recommendations for full underwriting.
- Manage risk by exercising prudence and due diligence while reviewing, underwriting, assessing a
