Job title: Bilingual Claims Supervisor, Accident & Health Claims

About the Role This is a senior leadership role responsible for the management and development of an Accident & Health Claims team, overseeing 5-8 analysts handling various A&H claims, including Special Risk, Critical Illness, Supplemental Health, Medical Certificate Reimbursement, and Travel. You will set the strategy for A&H claims, mentor staff, and collaborate with brokers, clients and internal teams to deliver world-class service.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of 5-8 Analysts from junior to senior levels, handling multiple A&H claim types.
  • Coach, mentor, and train Analysts; monitor reserves and settlements beyond their authority; review coverage letters and denials.
  • Approve major reserves, coverage decisions, and oversee large/major claims; conduct monthly file reviews for compliance with procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure exceptional client service through regular engagement with clients, brokers and partners; maintain collaborative relationships with underwriters and insureds.
  • Promote integrity and risk management culture; ensure team meets KPIs and aligns with AIG's mission and values; manage administrative support and ensure quality reporting and metrics.

What We're Looking For

  • Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written) is essential, with some files outside Quebec or anglophone clients.
  • Experience in bodily injury claims management—Accident & Health or Commercial Auto (PIP)—including major losses and litigation.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to work autonomously and provide direction to Analysts and the support team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in a dynamic team.
  • College or university degree or equivalent experience; proficiency with a paperless claims workflow system and MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: CAD 80,000 to 100,000 per year; eligible for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan.
