Beverage Lead 2nd Shift
From tree to table, POM Wonderful delivers a whole lot of healthy. Known for our iconic double-bubble bottle, we grow, harvest, package, and market fresh pomegranates, pomegranate arils, and a selection of delicious pomegranate-blended juices and teas. The purpose of this position is to lead the daily beverage operations team including overall quality, safety and employee performance of their assigned area. The Beverage Lead will work daily with the staff to ensure efficient work performance by training, coaching, developing and correcting behavior of the employees. This is a leadership position that directs the work of all hourly staff and is responsible for the overall performance of the department.
Base Compensation: 22.00 - 25.00
The responsibilities include implementing GMP and safety, maintaining a safe environment and supporting a safety culture, maintaining a food safety environment and supporting a quality culture, creating and maintaining a professional working environment, maintaining materials and product produced within product specifications, meeting expected operational goals and numbers, supporting maintenance and maintaining operation and cleanliness of all machines, and keeping the area clean and organized.
Shift start activities include assigning everyone to their work stations, passing down the schedule to employees, and addressing work to be completed. Email OEE percentage as required. Monitor breaks and lunches, ensuring everyone takes a break and lunch. Verify and initial shift paperwork as required. At shift end, address safety and quality concerns; reconcile paperwork, materials used, and quality issues. Own and participate in personal development. Perform any work as assigned. Communication skills should be persuasive and productive to appropriately communicate with operation personnel, coworkers, and management.
Teamwork involves effectively working with team dynamics, aligning personal objectives to promote the team and help others meet team goals and deadlines, and reliability. Work quality expectations require maintaining a high quality process to ensure the product is safe and of high quality.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Provide presentations and lead meetings as required. Ability to work within a team environment and with external partners. Must be self-motivated and able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). GED or high school diploma, one to two years related experience in operating production machines.
