About the Role This posting provides an overview of the City of Concord's BENEFLEX flexible benefits program and Wellness Program as offered to full-time employees. It outlines plan components and enrollment timing, including how benefits are funded by the City and how changes are made.
What You'll Do
- Administer BENEFLEX enrollment and changes, coordinate with insurers, and communicate plan options to employees.
- Conduct orientation sessions and explain plan details, including IRS §125 compliance and annual plan year (July 1 – June 30).
- Manage Wellness Program activities and Wellpoints program, track eligibility and usage, and help employees understand premium offsets and cashback options.
- Ensure changes in benefits follow qualified life events and time windows (open enrollment, birth/adoption, marriage, divorce, etc.).
- Maintain records and respond to employee inquiries; coordinate with payroll and benefits vendors.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in benefits administration or human resources, with knowledge of flexible benefit plans (Section 125) and ACA dependent coverage rules.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to explain complex benefit options.
- Ability to coordinate with insurers and vendors; familiarity with payroll deductions.
- Knowledge of public sector benefits and compliance considerations.
Nice to Have
- Public sector HR experience; knowledge of NH PFML.
- Experience with HRIS systems and benefit management platforms.
