About the Role This page provides guidance on applying for BC Hydro job postings and preparing for interviews. It explains how to set up and manage your profile, receive job alerts, and what to expect during the application and interview process. What You'll Do
- Create and maintain an online profile (resume) to apply for BC Hydro opportunities now and in the future.
- Release your profile so recruiters can search it; you can lock it to hide your information during searches; if you're invited to apply, you still need to submit an application; the application wizard will auto-fill fields from your profile.
- Set up job alerts to receive notifications for new positions matching your criteria; configure filters, frequency (daily or weekly), and ensure the Active option is checked.
- Apply for a job by selecting the posting and clicking Apply; the wizard auto-fills from your profile.
- Understand late applications: you can't apply after the deadline; you may explain; answer as many online questions as possible; mandatory fields marked with *.
- Manage your profile and resume: attaching a resume is encouraged; completing all sections is optional, but a complete profile provides more flexibility during review; a cover letter is optional but recommended.
- Interact with the online system: contact the hiring manager directly is discouraged; applications are reviewed by the recruitment team; status updates come via automatic notifications; you can view status under Jobs and Applications.
- Withdraw or delete an application if needed; your resume will be kept on file for three years from the last review. What We're Looking For
- Ability to complete required fields (fields marked with *) and provide relevant information; attach resume; optionally provide a cover letter; willingness to apply to specific job postings for broader consideration.
- Understanding that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted; contact will come via BC Hydro recruitment partner; keep contact information up-to-date. Nice to Have
