About this role
About the Role This page provides FAQs about applying for BC Hydro job postings and interviewing for positions. It explains how to set up a profile, apply for jobs, receive alerts, and track your application status.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain a BC Hydro profile to apply for opportunities, including keeping work experience, education and contact information up to date.
- Release your profile so recruitment partners can search for suitable candidates, or lock it to prevent searches if you prefer not to be contacted.
- Set up job alerts to be notified when new postings match your criteria.
- Apply to individual job postings using the online application tool; the form will auto-fill fields already completed in your profile.
- Attach a resume (and optionally a cover letter) to improve how your information is reviewed by recruiters.
- Monitor your application status in your profile and respond if you are shortlisted or if more information is required.
- Withdraw an application if you change your mind.
What We're Looking For
- Interest in BC Hydro opportunities and willingness to follow the online application process.
- Ability to create and maintain an up-to-date profile with work experience, education and contact information.
- Flexibility to attach a resume (preferred) and an optional cover letter to help recruiters get to know you.
- Willingness to apply separately to multiple job postings to maximize chances.
