About this role

Bartender - Sofitel Brisbane Central What you will be doing:

Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, wines, and spirits
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about our menu offerings
Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Accurately process customer orders and handle cash and credit card transactions using our POS system
Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely and efficient food service
Monitor and maintain bar inventory, placing orders for supplies as needed
Assist in creating new cocktail recipes and seasonal drink specials
Ensure adherence to responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations.

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in an upscale lounge or cocktail bar setting
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
Completion of a Barista course and Wine and Spirit (WSET) training is preferable
Expert knowledge of mixology techniques and current cocktail trends
Knowledge of food and beverage pairing is a plus
Passion for excellent customer service, with the ability to communicate fluently in English
Strong multitasking abilities and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
