Job Summary

• Panthera Restuarant is recruiting an experienced Bartender / Mixologist to take full charge of our bar.
• This is a stand-alone role that combines the service side of bartending with the creative craft of mixology.
• You will not be working under anyone on the bar, and you will be responsible for the entire bar, from setup and service to closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of daily bar operations, ensuring the main bar, service bar, lounge counters and back-bar displays are spotless, organised and set up to premium presentation standards.
• Prepare, mix and serve a wide range of intercontinental drinks, including classic cocktails, mixed drinks, beers, wines, champagnes and non-alcoholic beverages, with speed and precision.
• Create and develop original signature cocktails and seasonal drink menus, experimenting with flavours, ingredients and presentation to give our guests a distinctive experience.
• Prepare and maintain house-made syrups, infusions, bitters, juices and specialty garnishes, ensuring consistency in quality and taste.
• Maintain a documented recipe for every drink you create, so that standards, portions and flavours are consistent across the team.
• Follow company recipes, portion controls and glassware specifications strictly.
• Welcome guests warmly, take orders accurately, explain the beverage menu and make recommendations based on guest preferences and taste.
• Monitor daily stock levels of spirits, beers, wines, champagnes, mixers and garnishes, report shortages to management and assist with replenishment.
• Practise strict pour control using jiggers, prevent over-pouring, and keep accurate records of breakages and spills.
• Operate, clean and maintain bar equipment, including ice machines, blenders, draft beer lines, wine preservation systems and POS terminals, in line with safety protocols.
• Wash, sanitise and hand-polish glassware and bar tools so they are spotless, streak-free and chip-free before use.
• Keep the workspace clean and safe at all times by wiping counters, clearing empty glasses and plates promptly, and drying spills immediately.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a bartender or mixologist in a restaurant, lounge, hotel, or upscale bar.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, spirits and beers, with a creative flair for developing new drinks.
• Ability to work independently and run a bar with minimal supervision.
• Speed, accuracy, and composure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good physical stamina and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Must reside within or in close proximity to the Maitama area, Abuja (for shift flexibility and easy commuting) and be willing to work flexible shifts (day and night).

Starting Salary

N100,000 / month with Accomodation.
