Job title: Baroid Fluid Technician (Entry-Level)
About the Role Entry-level Baroid technician based in Pocasset, OK. Under supervision, you will learn rig operations, fluids, separation and waste management technologies, and provide well-site service to customers. You will complete formal training and begin operating Baroid equipment while supporting inventory and safety/regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Under strict supervision, work directly with fluids and equipment supervisors and technical professionals to gain a better understanding of rig operations, company products and services, fluids, separation, and waste management technologies.
- Complete formal training program in fluids chemistry, volume and hydraulics calculations, routine and specialized testing, separation equipment theory and application, and learn to provide well-site service to customers.
- Learn to operate, maintain and optimize Baroid equipment including testing, separation, and waste management equipment.
- Prepare and track inventory of palletized and bulk products and equipment spares at the rig site based on the drilling program and anticipated conditions.
- Assist with interpreting results of routine and specialized testing in order to provide technical solutions.
- Assist in the operation of some separation and waste management equipment and have knowledge of how such equipment affects overall fluid performance.
- Comply with health, safety and environment regulations in all aspects of job performance.
- Perform in a professional manner as a Halliburton representative with clients.
- Learn how to maintain good working relationships with operator's representative and rig personnel.
What We're Looking For
- No previous work experience required.
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or other related Bachelor's Degree program is required.
- This is an entry-level position.
