Great coffee. Friendly service. A welcoming experience. Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Barista to prepare quality beverages and help guests start their day—or enjoy a well-deserved break.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, and take orders accurately.
- Serve pastries, snacks, and other available food items.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit card, and other authorized payments.
- Keep counters, equipment, displays, and guest areas clean, organized, and stocked.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment-handling procedures.
- Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory, and communicate supply needs.
- Respond professionally to guest requests and bring concerns to a supervisor when needed.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and reconciling transactions as assigned.
- Work with fellow team members to keep service moving smoothly during busy periods.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous barista, café, food service, or customer service experience preferred.
- A friendly attitude and commitment to attentive guest service.
- Attention to detail when preparing beverages and handling payments.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Dependability, teamwork, and clear communication.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform essential duties, including prolonged standing, reaching, and moving supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.
