About the Role The Barboursville Winery is seeking a Part-Time Cellar Assistant to support cellar operations at Barboursville Vineyards in Barboursville, VA. This onsite role provides hands-on exposure to winery production tasks and daily operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist with cellar activities including basic sanitation, equipment cleaning, and routine production tasks
- Support fermentation monitoring and transfers under supervision
- Help with labeling, packaging, and inventory management as needed
- Collaborate with winemaking and cellar staff to ensure smooth daily operations
What We're Looking For
- Interest in wine and winery operations; prior experience optional
- Reliable, physically able to perform repetitive tasks in a wine cellar environment
- Ability to work part-time hours, including potential weekends or evenings
- Good team player with a proactive and safety-conscious mindset
Nice to Have
- Prior winery cellar or production experience
- Familiarity with basic winery equipment and sanitation practices
