The role involves representing a leading financial institution on sophisticated banking and finance transactions while remaining employed by Cahill. The ideal candidate will have extensive leveraged finance experience and be comfortable serving as a trusted advisor to a major financial institution client.
Responsibilities
- Serve on a long-term secondment to a leading financial institution, while remaining employed by Cahill.
- Represent investment banks in complex banking and finance transactions, including leveraged finance matters.
- Provide strategic, client-focused advice and contribute as a trusted advisor to the firm’s client.
- Collaborate with Cahill’s Banking & Finance team to manage deal flow, risks, and negotiations.
- Convey clear written and oral analyses to clients and internal teams.
Requirements
- At least five years of private practice experience representing investment banks in sophisticated banking and finance transactions.
- Strong credentials in the leveraged finance market, with significant experience in leveraged loans, syndicated lending, and private credit transactions.
- Prior client secondment experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong academic background and admission to the New York Bar.
- Willingness to work in person in New York, NY.
