About this role
University of Rio Grande's bands are looking for students to join its marching, pep, and symphonic bands. There is a need for brass, woodwind, percussion battery, percussion front ensemble, color guard, and dancers. Scholarships are available.
Participate in on-campus band ensembles including marching, pep, and symphonic bands. Rehearsals and performances at university events, as well as civic and social organizations, schools, hospitals, senior citizen centers, and churches. Possible travel within Ohio and the tri-state area; past tours include St. Louis, Nashville, Chicago, New York, Boston, and international venues in England, Scotland, Wales, and Mexico.
If selected, participate in Grande Chorale (12-16 voice vocal jazz/chamber choir with instrumental accompaniment) and may earn one hour of academic credit per semester.
Open to all majors for Grande Chorale; All interested students are encouraged to audition the first week of the fall semester. Opportunities exist across brass, woodwind, percussion (battery and front ensemble), color guard, and dancers. Scholarships are available.
Scholarships are available for participating in these ensembles. Grande Chorale may be taken for one hour of academic credit per semester (optional). On-campus involvement with performance opportunities at university events and community organizations.
