About the Role PlayStation platform backend server software development for packaging and content delivery on Amazon Linux. You will handle requirements analysis, design, implementation, developer testing, bug analysis, and provide developer support. You'll develop software with your own hands and see it used across products and services.

What You'll Do

• Develop backend server software for PlayStation packaging and content delivery on Amazon Linux.
• Conduct requirements analysis, design, implementation, and developer testing; analyze and fix defects.
• Support developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including server team, overseas teams, product planning, and developer support.
• Participate in building and operating server infrastructure as part of the backend ecosystem.
• Ensure high-quality, reliable software that can be used in a wide range of products and services.

What We're Looking For

• MUST: C++ software development experience (roughly 5+ years).
• MUST: Linux as primary development platform; experience on Windows or embedded systems.
• MUST: Design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• MUST: Ability to write high-reliability code.
• MUST: Accurate requirement analysis.
• MUST: Ability to quickly understand RFCs and specs.
• WANT: Server construction/operation experience (on-prem) ~3 years.
• WANT: Basic knowledge of cryptography and general security.
• WANT: Java or scripting language (Python) knowledge/experience.
• WANT: Linux or Windows system construction/operation experience.
• LANGUAGE: TOEIC 700+ and English communication (email, calls, travel), ability to read technical materials in English; Japanese ability N1 or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• Server construction/operation experience (on-prem) ~3 years.
• Cryptography fundamentals.
• Security knowledge.
• Java or Python scripting knowledge.
• Linux or Windows system construction/operation experience.
