Description

Help build the chat-based banking assistant customers use to send money, pay bills and manage their accounts. You’ll join a small Lagos team, own features from design to production, and improve both conversational quality and the reliability of money flows.
Your Mission
Build Node.js chat flows with reliable session state and clear customer messages.
Test intent routing and answers against replay cases; guard model output.
Integrate banking APIs with safe retries, idempotency and reconciliation.
Investigate incidents through logs, SQL, Redis and Linux servers.
Ship unit tests, replay fixtures and security fixes alongside features.
Review code and maintain merge notes and runbooks.
What You Bring

Must-have:

4+ years of production Node.js backend development
Express and long-running stateful services
SQL and Redis
Third-party API integration
Transaction idempotency and failure handling
Linux incident response
Clear written communication

Nice-to-have:

Oracle
SOAP/XML integration
Signed requests or payment rails

Tools:

Node.js, Express, SQL, Redis, Linux, nginx

The Non-Negotiables:

Unable to work from the Lagos office.
Unable to take rotating after-hours on-call shifts.
Lacks production Node.js backend experience.
