Backend Engineer — Fintech & Platform

Section: Overview We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on our Fintech and Platform initiatives. This role offers a hybrid opportunity, allowing you to work from our Lagos office or remotely within Nigeria.

Section: Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Integrate with third-party services and payment gateways.
• Ensure the security and scalability of platform architecture.
• Write efficient, well-documented, and testable code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.

Section: Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Core Tech Stack: Strong experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core.
• APIs: Solid understanding of REST APIs and experience integrating third-party APIs and webhooks.
• Database: Proficiency in SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with database transactions and concurrency.
• Security: Strong grasp of authentication and authorization principles.
• DevOps: Working knowledge of Docker and experience with Git collaborative workflows.
• Soft Skills: Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and take ownership of production applications.
