Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Python and Django REST Framework
- Design and manage PostgreSQL database schemas - ensuring proper normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
- Implement authentication and authorization systems - JWT, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and 2FA.
- Integrate third-party services - payment gateways (Paystack, Flutterwave), SMS (Termii), email (Brevo), and mapping APIs.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following agreed coding standards.
- Optimize applications for speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Participate in code reviews and software testing.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams.
- Monitor application performance and resolve production issues.
- Contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making.
