About the Role
Codestrat Labs is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in server-side development, a passion for clean code, and experience building secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.

Build and consume RESTful APIs.

Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).

Manage database schemas and queries (MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).

Ensure API security, thorough data validation, and effective error handling.

Adhere to MVC architecture and maintain clean coding practices across all projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.

Core Technologies: Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.

Languages: Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.

APIs: Demonstrated experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Databases: Good knowledge of database management (MongoDB/MySQL/PostgreSQL).

Security: Experience with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth) and understanding of API security, data validation, and error handling.

Architecture: Familiarity with MVC architecture and clean coding practices.
