About this role

Overview

Intuit is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Trust Guards team.

As a Software Engineer I, you will help design, develop, and maintain Trust & Safety Assist (T&S Assist), an agentic application that gives our Trust & Safety Operations team fast, accurate insights across their investigation workflows.

Our team builds the risk and trust capabilities that protect Intuit customers across all our products. You'll work on an application still taking shape, combining traditional backend services with LLM-driven, agentic components. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, with a solid foundation in back-end development, proficiency in Java, and high proficiency in agentic engineering, building with tools like Claude Code and Cursor.

Responsibilities

  • Champion customer obsession: understand how T&S Operations teams are affected by your work, and build with their needs front and center.
  • Design and implement new features and enhancements for T&S Assist, helping bring it from its current early-stage state to the maturity level of a core production capability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including T&S Operations, product management, and architecture.
  • Develop well-architected, elegant software solutions with a passion for excellence.
  • Perform and participate in peer code reviews; give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in the agentic/LLM space.
  • Take turns in on-call shifts occasionally and respond quickly to critical alerts to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer obsession: a track record of putting customer and end-user impact at the center of engineering decisions.
  • 1+ years of experience in back-end development.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring framework.
  • High proficiency with agentic engineering, leveraging tools such as Claude Code and Cursor (must-have).
  • Experience with web applications, databases and microservices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hebrew, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Additional stack advantages

Python, FastAPI, LangGraph/LangChain, AWS (data lake tooling), Redis, Playwright, React and TypeScript.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
