Back-End Developer

About the Role Back-End Developer at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) in Bengaluru with a satellite office in Pune. Design and develop back-end systems using Java and the Spring Boot framework, deploy containerized applications with Kubernetes, and implement PostgreSQL as the primary data store. You will collaborate with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. What You'll Do

• Design and develop back-end systems using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes.
• Implement PostgreSQL as the primary data store for the system.
• Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Continuously improve software engineering practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
• Experience in software development with a focus on back-end development using Java.
• Strong experience with the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and database design principles.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of security and data protection best practices. Nice to Have
• Domain knowledge in automotive engineering or related fields.
• Exposure to international projects and global stakeholder management.
