Job Summary
- We are looking for a B2C Community Manager to be the voice, vibe and hype-person of our community.
- You'll run the day-to-day conversation across X (Twitter), Telegram, Instagram and TikTok, keep the banter going, spot what's trending before everyone else, and turn what the community is saying into real input for our product, support and marketing teams.
- This is a fully remote role, open only to Nigerians currently living in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day replies and engagement across X (Twitter), Telegram, Instagram and TikTok.
- Keep conversations and banter alive so the community feels active, not just broadcast to.
- Spot trends, memes and cultural moments early and turn them into timely community content.
- Monitor community sentiment, then route complaints to support and praise to the right teams.
- Plan and run community activations, giveaways and campaigns.
- Work with Tonic FC on football-led community content and activations.
- Turn community feedback and insight into clear input for product, support and marketing.
- Benchmark similar communities and bring back ideas we can use.
- Handle tense or negative conversations with a steady head and protect the brand's reputation.
Requirements
Education
- A Degree or HND in Mass Communication, Marketing, English, or a related field is welcome but not required. Proven community experience matters more than certificates.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in fintech, in a community, social media or similar role.
- A track record of growing a community from "just posting" to genuinely engaged.
- Experience with football fan communities and high-energy online communities where banter runs deep is a big plus.
Skills
- Sharp, witty writing with a natural sense of humour.
- Deep understanding of how online communities behave, especially on X, Telegram, Instagram and TikTok.
- Strong instinct for trends, memes and internet culture in Nigeria.
- Calm, sound judgement when comments get spicy.
- Ability to read sentiment and summarise community insight clearly for other teams.
- Good organisation for running campaigns, giveaways and activations end to end.
Other Requirements:
- Must be Nigerian.
- Must have at least 3 years of community management experience. Fintech Industry is a plus.
- Must be chronically online and fluent in internet culture.
- Must be comfortable working remotely and independently.
