About the Role Develops and manages relationships with corporate clients with emphasis on origination and portfolio risk in Corporate Banking. Presents a range of corporate banking product solutions to meet client needs and closes sales. Provides responsive, quality service. May be assigned to geographic areas and/or specific services; manages overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk. What You'll Do
- Formulates and implements a business development plan and calling schedule for each client or prospect following the Bank’s strategy.
- Identifies business opportunities and solicits referrals from other business segments; researches market area and industry for marketing plans.
- Prepares for calls with a deep understanding of client, industry, business and needs; sets objectives for profit contribution, ROA and ROE.
- Maintains close contact with existing customers; discusses and promotes all corporate banking products and financing opportunities; helps forecast clients' finances and develops solutions.
- Brings in product specialists as needed to problem solve or structure transactions; negotiates terms and closes transactions in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
- Exercises sound credit and risk judgment; presents recommendations to senior management and coordinates with other bank units.
- Monitors relationship plan results, analyzes account activity, determines client profitability and maintains relationships with industry contacts.
- Prepares reports for management; identifies accounts for development or elimination; ensures timely credit recommendations and documentation.
- Maintains awareness of competitive products and market rates; may serve as a product specialist or trainer as needed.
- Participates in civic and community affairs as appropriate. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
- Bilingual Japanese - English.
- Ability to understand policies and procedures written in Japanese and English.
- Analytical skills, time management, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

- Base salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (USD).
- Benefits include Medical, Dental and 401K plans; discretionary bonus.
