Global Technology – Context of Role
The Global Technology (GT) team at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is on a multi-year journey to modernize technical and digital products and platforms across all business lines.
This role requires a leader who collaborates with MVW business and technology disciplines with a strong focus on execution, integration excellence, modernization, and measurable outcomes. As a senior member of the Enterprise Architecture organization, the incumbent supports enterprise architecture objectives, facilitates cross-domain architecture deliverables, and drives adoption of standards, patterns, roadmaps, and governance practices.
The incumbent is a proven thought leader, a consensus builder, and an integrator of people, processes, and technology.
Job Summary
Based at the Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) corporate office in Orlando, FL and reporting to the VP of Enterprise Architecture Strategies, Domain Architecture & Emerging Technology, the Assistant Vice President, Integration & Digital Transformation partners with business and technology leaders to modernize business capabilities, improve customer and associate user experiences, accelerate cloud and platform adoption, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions supporting hospitality, vacation ownership, exchanges, rentals, and third-party management operations.
This high-impact leadership role is responsible for maximizing the business value of technology by aligning business strategy with enterprise architecture, integration capabilities, and digital transformation priorities. Advances modernization, standardization, and integration through architecture vision, roadmaps, reusable patterns, governance, and high-level technology designs.
The role provides architecture leadership across enterprise platforms, hospitality technology ecosystems, customer experiences, data capabilities, cloud platforms, API management, event-driven integration, AI, intelligent automation, and analytics. Partners closely with delivery, product, security, data, infrastructure, and business teams to improve scalability, reliability, interoperability, and speed to value.
Primary Objectives
- Execute integration and digital transformation roadmaps: Translate enterprise architecture direction into executable modernization and integration roadmaps across assigned business capabilities and platforms.
- Develops scalable enterprise integration capabilities: Modernize integration capabilities through API management, event-driven architecture, cloud integration, reusable services, and standardized patterns.
- Improve solution quality, reliability, and production readiness: Ensure integration and digital solutions are scalable, secure, observable, supportable, and operationally resilient.
- Increase reuse, automation, and delivery velocity: Improve delivery speed and consistency by expanding reusable architecture patterns, automation, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Deliver measurable business and customer outcomes: Apply integration and digital architecture to improve priority business capabilities and customer and associate experiences.
- Strengthen cross-functional execution and architecture adoption: Build effective partnerships among architecture, product, engineering, delivery, security, data, infrastructure, operations, and external providers.

Expected Contributions
Enterprise Architecture – General
- Leads execution of enterprise architecture and digital transformation roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
- Partners with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, modernization, and business capability enhancement.
- Drives transformation across customer engagement, reservations, owner services, inventory management, sales, marketing, and operational platforms.
- Develops and promotes architecture governance, standards, reusable patterns, and modernization frameworks.
- Provides architecture leadership across hospitality and vacation ownership platforms, including reservations, CRM, owner servicing, sales, marketing, loyalty, digital commerce, and contact center capabilities.
- Supports personalized guest and owner experiences through integrated digital platforms and customer data solutions.
- Partners with business leaders to improve journeys across web, mobile, resort, and contact center channels.
- Drives modernization of hospitality technology ecosystems and related third-party vendor integrations.
- Provides MVW Executive and Senior Leadership with clear status, decisions, risks, and progress toward architecture and transformation objectives.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
Portfolio Strategy, Ideation, and Emerging Technology
- Evaluates and implements technologies that accelerate business transformation, including AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, data analytics, and predictive customer insights.
- Leads proofs of concept and business innovation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Identifies opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve platform scalability, resilience, and reliability.
- Partners with engineering and delivery teams to accelerate adoption of modern cloud-native architectures and engineering practices.
- Develops and maintains current, transition, and target-state architecture roadmaps, including sequencing of modernization and transformation initiatives.
- Identifies capability gaps and recommends technology direction based on business priorities, industry developments, and enterprise standards.
- Supports customer data integration, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives to improve decision-making and enable future AI and machine-learning capabilities.
Enterprise Architecture Framework & Domain Architecture
- Develops and governs the enterprise integration architecture strategy.
- Leads architecture involving API management, event-driven architecture, real-time integration, cloud integration platforms, microservices, and data integration services.
- Drives integration solutions across Salesforce, property management systems, reservation systems, ERP, HR, finance, and customer experience platforms.
- Promotes reusable services and enterprise integration patterns to increase organizational agility.
- Ensures architecture methodologies, design principles, security-by-design practices, and standards are followed by internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Participates in architecture design reviews and provide architecture oversight to delivery teams.
- Decomposes complex business problems into scalable capability, application, integration, data, and technology designs.
- Creates and maintains conceptual, logical, and detailed architecture artifacts that address systems of record, interfaces, data exchange, and future change.
