Job title: Avionics Validation Engineer
About the Role
Deimos, a Company within Indra Group, is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Validation Engineer to join the Functional Avionics team in Bucharest. The selected candidate will support the development and design of advanced avionics functional validation infrastructures, mainly for the end-to-end validation of Earth Observation missions. This role will focus on the definition and implementation of the validation infrastructure architecture from validation specifications, with a particular emphasis on the Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem (ADCS) and AOCS for space vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Work within the Avionics Unit focused on designing avionics architectures for AOCS subsystems and performing functional verification across project phases C/D, including FDIR definition and interfaces to support GNC and Flight Software architects.
- Define and implement the validation infrastructure architecture from validation specifications, with emphasis on ADCS and AOCS for space vehicles.
- Support development and design of advanced avionics functional validation infrastructures for end-to-end Earth Observation mission validation.
- Collaborate across DEIMOS activities such as satellite formation flying, rendezvous, in-orbit servicing (IOS) and active debris removal (ADR), and Earth observation flight segments.
- Work with EGSE and test environments in C/D satellite project phases and with real-time, embedded code integration (C/C++, Simulink, Python).
- Develop and maintain validation workflows on Speedgoat real-time platforms and ensure compatibility of digital interfaces (UDP/TCP, UART, CAN, LVDS, I2C, SPI, MIL-1553, SpaceWire).
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to deliver robust validation solutions.
What We're Looking For
