About this role
We are seeking an Avionics Electrical Design Engineer specializing in schematic design and PCB/board layout for airborne electronics. The engineer will be responsible for electrical design, circuit development, PCB layout, EMI/EMC considerations, simulation, testing, and compliance with aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and review electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
-
Design RF/electrical circuits, including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and related interfaces.
-
Perform PCB layout, including high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.
-
Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout schematic and PCB development.
-
Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent tools.
-
Support design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of electrical/PCB issues.
-
Perform and support environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.
-
Ensure designs comply with relevant aerospace and airborne hardware standards, including DO-160 and DO-254.
-
Work with test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
-
Collaborate with systems, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, and verification teams.
-
Support design reviews, documentation, qualification, and production release activities.
-
Preferred Profile
-
Strong hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB/board layout for aerospace/avionics electronics.
-
Understanding of high-speed, RF, EMI/EMC, and signal-integrity design principles.
-
Experience taking designs from concept → schematic → PCB layout → prototype → testing → qualification.
-
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
