About the Role Volt is hiring an Automotive Dyno Support Engineer in Wauwatosa, WI. The role focuses on engine performance analysis, data collection and documentation, calibration, simulation, and client support to optimize engine and test cell performance. This is a full-time contract opportunity. What You'll Do
- Conduct engine performance analysis and gather engine performance, parameters, and emissions data.
- Document engine performance data and review statistical trends in data.
- Optimize engine control maps and strategies; perform engine simulations and data matching to ensure data quality.
- Apply engine simulation techniques to optimize fuel system and air system and other performance-related systems.
- Evaluate new engine concepts via simulation or test (or both) as needed; assist clients with engine and test cell problem resolution.
- Conduct ratings reviews with customers; participate in monthly goals including targets for completing test projects within budget.
- Transfer daily tasks to the next shift by summarizing daily test results verbally and in writing; provide engine performance data reviews of test cells using calibration engine software. What We're Looking For
- Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Experience conducting engine performance testing.
- Proficiency in analyzing engine emissions and performance data.
- Hands-on experience working in engine test cells.
- Experience with general automotive and motorcycle mechanic work.
- Instrument calibration experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic sensor measurements. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $35/hr to $42/hr.
