Automobile Technician
Overview
Automobile Technician position in Owode, Ogun, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of the automobile unit, including drivers and mechanics.
- Plan vehicle deployment and scheduling.
- Ensure vehicles are operational, serviced, and ready for use.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Maintain service, repair, and fuel consumption records.
- Liaise with mechanics and vendors on spare parts and repairs.
- Manage driver schedules and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and traffic regulations.
- Allocate manpower and vehicle resources efficiently.
- Prepare reports and track automobile expenditures.
- Implement cost-saving measures and enforce HSE standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with vehicle usage procedures.
Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.

5–7 years’ relevant experience in automobile maintenance, fleet management, or supervision, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.

Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop operations.

Ability to plan preventive maintenance schedules.

Proficiency in record keeping, cost tracking, and logistics coordination.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High attention to detail and safety awareness.

Ability to manage teams effectively and work under pressure.
