About the Role The role involves designing, programming, simulating and testing automation products or processes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. It requires understanding software requirements, current architecture, and stakeholder needs; contributing to the automation roadmap and building reusable libraries across technology stacks.

What You'll Do

• Design, program, simulate and test automation products or processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Understand software requirements and product design; analyze current architecture, system interdependencies and application stacks.
• Formulate project plans with project management and submit plans for approval; review operating procedures with users/partners/clients on a regular basis.
• Contribute to automation roadmap design and testing process improvements by researching automation architectures and developing new automation solutions.
• Improve and maintain the automation framework across technology stacks and build reusable libraries across business verticals.
• Design and execute software development and testing activities; ensure environment readiness; design test plans and develop test cases/scenarios/usage cases; execute them.
• Develop technical specifications, resolve complex design issues and participate in testing activities for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Implement, track and report key metrics to ensure coverage of functional and non-functional requirements through automation; own testing and validation of code; track defects and resolutions.
• Create comprehensive defect databases and mitigation techniques; provide resolutions by proactively researching and using available resources.
• Design and implement automated testing tools where possible and update tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop processes for software validation by designing test cases and executing them; develop programs that run efficiently and align with WIPRO standards.
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders; work with Agile teams to understand product vision and backlogs; create robust test automation for functional, regression and performance testing.
• Assist in creating acceptance criteria for user stories and manage a test automation backlog; collaborate with development to improve continuous deployment practices; document projects per WIPRO guidelines; ensure long-term maintainability and clear communication.
• Provide backend/database programming capabilities for key projects.
• Support testers and others to diagnose system problems and document successes.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in designing, developing and executing automated tests; strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Ability to design, implement and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data; capable of tracking metrics and ensuring coverage of functional/non-functional requirements.
• Experience collaborating with Agile teams and stakeholders; ability to translate requirements into test automation solutions and acceptance criteria.
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage defects.
• Knowledge of backend/database programming and integration testing.
• Willingness to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

• Experience building reusable automation libraries across multiple business domains.
