Automation Specialist • NDT & SPECIAL SYSTEMS - MEXICO

LOCATION: Veracruz - Veracruz - Mexico

DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING

We are looking for an Automation Specialist to lead strategic automation projects that enhance safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and digitalization across our operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with international suppliers, and support projects across the Tenaris network.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate automation projects from concept through commissioning.

  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, risks, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Drive modernization, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.

  • Support the implementation and integration of advanced control, inspection, and quality assurance systems.

  • Participate in FAT/SAT activities and collaborate with global Tenaris operations.

  • What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, Control Engineering, or related fields.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation and large-scale industrial project leadership.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA, industrial networks, and process instrumentation.

  • Experience managing projects in continuous-operation industrial environments.

  • English proficiency for technical communication with international suppliers.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in steelmaking, seamless pipe manufacturing, Oil & Gas, rolling mills, or heavy manufacturing industries.

  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) systems and industrial digitalization solutions.

  • PMI or Project Management certification is a plus.
