Automation Engineer

About the Role The role focuses on designing, programming, simulating and testing automation products or processes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. You will analyze requirements, review architecture, and help shape the automation roadmap while building reusable libraries across the tech stacks. What You'll Do

• Understand software requirements and product design; analyze current architecture and interdependencies; outline project plans and obtain approvals.
• Contribute to automation roadmap, test process improvements, and build an automation framework that is reusable across business lines.
• Design and execute software development and testing; prepare test plans, cases, and usage scenarios; ensure readiness of the execution environment.
• Develop technical specifications, resolve complex design issues, and participate in design activities with the development team.
• Implement, track, and report metrics to ensure coverage of functional and non functional requirements; manage defects and resolutions.
• Design and implement automated testing tools; develop processes for software validation and create efficient programs aligned with company standards.
• Collaborate with Agile teams, business SMEs, and stakeholders; define acceptance criteria and enable continuous deployment practices; document projects as per guidelines.
• Maintain system maintainability and documentation; assist testers and support personnel; stay up-to-date with industry standards; backend/database programming capability. What We're Looking For
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks across multiple technology stacks.
• Proficiency with Agile delivery, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and robust test strategies for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Ability to develop and automate testing tools, design test cases, and manage defect tracking and metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document results and convey complex concepts to clients and teams.
• Backend/database programming capability and familiarity with databases and data validation. Nice to Have
• Experience with automated testing tools and libraries.
• Knowledge of industry standards and willingness to adopt best practices across projects.
• Understanding of software validation processes and performance testing.
