Automation Engineer

About the Role

Tazapay is looking for an Automation Engineer to drive testing across mobile and web applications, ensuring issues are identified and addressed before customer release. You will work in a cutting-edge agile environment, partnering with developers to infuse testing perspectives from scoping acceptance criteria to release, helping to maintain high quality of the Tazapay Platform.

What You'll Do

• Work in a cutting-edge agile software development environment as an Automation Engineer, ensuring the quality of the Tazapay Platform.

• Gain technical and functional understanding of product architecture and become part of ongoing feature and enhancement development.

• Communicate with product managers to create acceptance tests as part of requirements, and execute those tests manually, as well as automate them.

• Manage the test case inventory and work with other members of the Software Testing team; provide guidance when needed to other members of Software Testing team and Product Support.

• Produce and maintain test coverage reports for functional and automation coverage; communicate critical issues and status updates to the team.

• Create and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and languages (preferably Cypress) to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.

• Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects using bug tracking systems.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and automation; create and maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.

• Develop and execute performance and load testing scripts to assess scalability; implement and maintain regression test suites.

• Provide guidance and training to team members on test automation best practices, tools, and techniques.

• What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

• Understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product.

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of working experience as an automation engineer; experience in developing a framework and end-to-end automation of UI/Functional Testing; ensure scalability of automation and CI across the solution.

• Programming Skills: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Automation Tools: Cypress, Selenium.

• Abilities and Traits: detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, team player, quality-focused, analytical, structured in approach.

• Nice to Have

• Preferrably Cypress.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing in fast-paced environments.
