About the Role

Join OPmobility as an Automation Engineer to drive robotics, PLC, and vision innovations across development, manufacturing and operations. You will manage projects, transfer technical data to development, industrial and plant teams, identify and mitigate risks, and help industrialize innovative solutions in a fast-moving automotive environment. What You'll Do

  • Project Management: Define and lead activities to achieve deliverables; elaborate the project provisional budget (hours and cost); transfer technical data to development, industrial and/or plant teams with clear risk identification; handle extended team activities as needed.

  • Metier activities: Seek breakthroughs in Robotics, PLC and Vision; identify new technologies and functions, analyze market and technology trends, benchmark serial products; contribute to robotic network activities and lead technical standards definitions.

  • Industrialize innovative solutions: Industrialize new concepts into repeatable, scalable solutions.

  • Assistance to operations: Support operations on major or new process/equipment issues in Vision, PLC, and robotic equipment (HMI/PLC programming).

  • Customer/Industrial projects activities: Validate technical feasibility of Vision/PLC & Robotics solutions; define equipment specifications and supplier sourcing; perform in-house programming tasks on PLC, HMI, Robots and OT/IT devices.

  • Knowledge sharing activities: Consolidate lessons learned into best practices; animate metier networks; promote industrial excellence roadmap externally (OEMs, institutes, academics) and internally; train new AUTOMATION, ROBOTIC, PPA, MPM, EPM to industrialized solutions. What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (significant experience) or Master’s in Automation and Robotics; 5+ years as Robotic or PLC specialist; advanced automation/robotics experience; Siemens PLC and FANUC Robotic knowledge; international context preferred; automotive sector experience a plus.

  • Key technical competencies: Strong robotics/PLC background; Project management skills; Fluent English; ability to assess technical solutions and make decisions.

  • Key behavioral competencies: Customer-centric, innovative, audacious, results-driven, collaborative, able to drive engagement, value diversity, resilient, and committed to self-development; leadership, synthesis, organization, rigor, teamwork; strong communication across management levels; pedagogical skills. Nice to Have

  • International context experience preferred.

  • Previous experience in the automotive sector is an added advantage.
