Job title: Automation Engineer
About the Role As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving one or more automation development projects from gathering requirements to start of production. You will play a key role in developing new processes and implementing improvements to strengthen efficiency, product quality, and economic performance (notably maintenance cost reduction and standardization).
What You'll Do
- Define, implement, and program PLCs, industrial vision systems, robots, and other equipment.
- Manage the automation scope of industrialization projects: identify technical solutions and equipment, prepare cost estimates, define specifications, ensure follow-up of implementation and validation.
- Lead multidisciplinary automation project teams: internal and external resources.
- Own the automation and/or industrial IT within the scope of industrialization projects.
- Ensure project delivery according to QCD objectives (Quality, Cost, Delivery) and operational milestones.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives: process optimization, standardization, performance tracking.
- Participate in technological scouting and validation of new automation technologies to support R&D and production evolution.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
- Solid experience in industrial automation and in industrial vision systems.
- Skills in robotics and industrial computing (PLC, SCADA, MES) are a plus.
- Knowledge in micromechanics, measurement systems and statistical tools appreciated.
- Proficiency with office tools; knowledge of automotive quality standards and ERP systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in French; English is a plus.
- Excellent communication, project management and transversal leadership skills.
- Result-oriented mindset, customer focus, creativity and ability to collaborate.
- Taste for fieldwork and hands-on operational experience.
