Job title: Ausbildung zum Oberflächenbeschichter (m/w/d)
This is an apprenticeship program at Diehl in Berlin to become a surface coater (Oberflächenbeschichter). The training starts in September 2026 and lasts three years. It combines hands-on work in coating processes with block schooling, including travel to Schwäbisch Gmünd for several weeks a year (travel and accommodation costs covered by us).
What You'll Do
- Learn surface finishing techniques such as galvanic plating and other chemical, electrochemical, electrical and physical methods.
- Prepare workpieces and coating solutions and apply coatings in galvanic baths.
- Support corrosion protection, wear protection, improved electrical conductivity or decorative purposes through coating technology.
- Participate in block instruction at Berufsschule Schwäbisch Gmünd two to three times per year; costs for travel and lodging are covered.
- Start date: 01.09.2026; duration: 3 years; location Berlin.
What You're Looking For
- Good Mittlere Reife (MSA) as ideal prerequisite.
- Solid chemical and mathematical-physical knowledge.
- Willingness to handle chemicals responsibly.
- Motivation to learn and apply new knowledge, techniques and processes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Interest in working in a manufacturing environment in Berlin.
