About this role

Auditor RSPO

  • Plans, prepares and carries out audits in compliance with the accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinates the schedule and audit plan with the customer and, if necessary, with the auditor team.
  • Collects and analyses data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, fraud or noncompliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
  • Might lead the audit in the function of the lead auditor.
  • Records strengths, deviations, recommendations and evidence viewed.
  • Creates audit documentation and audit reports.
  • Prepares explains audit findings and recommends solutions to auditee.
  • An auditor is a CB personnel who conducts audits within the audit team and can be a contributing author of audit reports.
  • Auditors shall be under the supervision of the lead auditor during the audit process.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Work Experience

  • Have at least three (3) years of field experience in the oil palm plantations, smallholder farms, agriculture farming, forestry, or horticulture. This shall include an understanding and application of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) or Have at least five (5) years of field experience in HCV/HCS assessment, labour/social audit, health and safety, enterprise risk management, or sustainability assessments in sectors other than oil palm.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the RSPO standards and certification documents such as the RSPO P&C, ISH Standard, associated procedures and guidance documents.
  • Have sufficient knowledge and experience on relevant accreditation systems requirements and the required tools to perform quality monitoring activities on the RSPO certification and accreditation processes, as described by the CB procedure. This includes the RSPO Certification Systems for P&C and RSPO ISH Standard, Accreditation Body(ies) Procedures, the RSPO Information System, and ISO standards 17065 and/or 19011
  • Complete a supervised training period under a qualified auditor or lead auditor, involving practical auditing against the RSPO P&C or ISH Standard, with a minimum of 10 days of audit experience in at least two (2) separate audits.
  • Signed the Code of Conduct for RSPO Auditors.

Additional Work Requirements

Successfully completed the RSPO Endorsed Lead Auditor Course for P&C and/or ISH Standard.

Successfully completed the Lead Auditor Course for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001/ISO 45001/ISO 26000 or Integrated Management System by an ISO-accredited agency such as IRCA, RAC, SAATCA, CRBA, etc.

Specific training requirements:

  • The auditor assigned to audit the supply chain requirements of the palm oil mill shall have successfully completed the RSPO Endorsed Lead Auditor Course for SCC. (Note: This does not apply to ISH or Group Certification).
  • The auditor assigned to audit social requirements shall have attended internationally recognized social auditing standard training delivered by an accredited external training provider, such as ISO 26000, SA8000, SMETA, ETI, or social training recognized by RSPO.
  • The auditor verifying NPP requirements shall additionally be trained in the assessment of compliance with FPIC, HCV, and HCS requirements in the context of RSPO NPP procedures. The training shall be conducted by RSPO or RSPO endorsed trainers

Language Skills

Professional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and spoken) for effective reporting and communication
