About the Role Audit Manager at Baker Tilly leading industry-focused audit and other assurance services for middle-market clients. You will work with firm leadership, mentor staff, and help develop clients and the practice. What You'll Do
- Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing assurance and consulting services to industry-specific clients, positively impacting financial statements, profitability, and business operations.
- Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to understand goals and challenges.
- Implement appropriate testing to assess internal controls deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results.
- Provide valuable financial statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing and information gathered.
- Deliver business insight through thoughtful review, analysis, and discussion with clients and engagement teams.
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billing/collections, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community using entrepreneurial mindset.
- Invest in professional development through firm-wide learning programs; participate in Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Support the growth and development of team members, mentoring associates to meet professional goals; contribute to a collaborative culture.
What We're Looking For
- 4-year degree; master's or advanced degree desired.
- CPA required.
- Five (5) years of experience providing financial statement auditing services in a professional services firm.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience, mentoring an audit team.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and assurance standards; experience with internal controls testing.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client relationships.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
