About the Role Northern Trust’s internal audit function is offering an exceptional opportunity to join a global team of experts, whose goal is to provide independent and objective assurance and consulting activities that assess risks and protect assets, reputation, and sustainability of Northern Trust. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading, planning and executing audit engagements across the APAC Region. The Audit Manager provides technical expertise and guidance to auditors within the engagement team and works closely with Directors to confirm the scope of the audit and fieldwork execution strategy. Success is measured by the comprehensiveness of workpapers, integrity of the assessment, quality of internal audit reports, timeliness of delivery, contributions to team process enhancements, and your ability to foster relationships both internally within Audit Services and with key stakeholders. In addition, the Audit Manager may also assist with continuous monitoring, strategic audit planning and risk assessments and preparing information for regulators. The successful candidate will collaborate and work closely with partners in different locations. This position will report to the Associate Director based in Melbourne.

What You'll Do

• Lead, plan and execute audit engagements across the APAC Region.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to auditors within the engagement team and work closely with Directors to confirm the scope of the audit and fieldwork execution strategy.
• Ensure the comprehensiveness of workpapers, integrity of assessments, quality of internal audit reports, timely delivery, and foster relationships with stakeholders.
• Assist with continuous monitoring, strategic audit planning, risk assessments and preparing information for regulators.
• Collaborate with partners in different locations and report to the Associate Director based in Melbourne.

What We're Looking For

• Experience leading, planning and executing audit engagements within internal audit or Audit Services, preferably across the APAC region.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to audit teams and work closely with Directors and Partners to confirm scope and execution strategies.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels; ability to communicate audit observations clearly.
• Commitment to professional auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and Internal Audit Manual compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership, professionalism during planning interviews/walkthroughs, status meetings, and escalation of significant concerns, budget variances, or delays.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work with partners in different locations.
