Audit Associate
Overview
We are hiring on behalf of a client based in Onipanu, Lagos for the role of Audit Associate.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in planning and conducting internal and external audits for clients
- Preparing working papers, audit reports, and supporting schedules
- Performing substantive testing, vouching, and analytical procedures on financial records
- Checking adherence to IFRS, CAMA, FRC, and other relevant regulations
- Identifying control weaknesses and recommending improvements
- Liaising with client finance teams to gather evidence and clarify findings
- Drafting audit findings to assist senior auditors with final report preparation
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of audit, accounting, or assurance experience
- Strong knowledge of audit procedures and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel with experience in QuickBooks, Sage, or other ERP systems being an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking with good written and verbal communication skills
- ACA/ACCA in progress is an advantage
- Fresh graduates with strong academics are encouraged to apply
- Candidates must be resident in or willing to relocate to the Onipanu/Lagos mainland area
