About the Role KPMG is seeking a qualified audit professional to participate in audit engagements for clients, including SEC registrants. The role emphasizes risk assessment, internal control testing, and applying PCAOB standards to analyze technical accounting issues and accounting estimates. What You'll Do
- Participate in the execution of audit engagements for clients, including SEC registrants.
- Perform risk assessment analysis, internal control audit program development, and related testing utilizing PCAOB AS 5.
- Analyze technical accounting issues, including goodwill and long-lived asset impairment and revenue recognition.
- Audit accounting estimates in accordance with PCAOB AS 2501.
- Review audit working papers to identify compliance with current U.S. GAAS and PCAOB prescriptions.
- Review SEC filings and research technical accounting issues.
- Adhere to a 40-hour work week: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. What We're Looking For
- CPA license required.
- Experience auditing for SEC registrants and familiarity with PCAOB AS 5 and AS 2501, and GAAS.
- Strong analytical skills in risk assessment, internal controls, goodwill impairment, long-lived asset impairment, revenue recognition, and accounting estimates.
- Ability to review SEC filings and research technical accounting issues.
