Job title: ATS & SCADA Senior Engineer
About the Role Join Alstom's Supervision Control Center (SCC) Application Design team in Cairo as a full-time ATS & SCADA Senior Engineer. You’ll design, implement, and test ATS site data across projects, collaborating with global teams to tailor configurations and support integration, testing, and commissioning within the ATS/SCADA system.
What You'll Do
- Define and validate all ATS site data and parameters to customize for specific projects/products.
- Create and manage documentation, perform subsystem tests, and verify traceability.
- Ensure configuration management for project data.
- Support integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Degree/equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Control and Automation Engineering.
- 4–7 years of experience in railway or industrial automation projects.
- Fundamental knowledge of programming, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Analytical capabilities to identify defects and suggest corrective solutions.
- Strong teamwork and transparent communication.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (Angular, React).
- Basic understanding of backend development (Go, Python, Node.js).
- Familiarity with API concepts (REST, WebSocket, microservices architecture, monolith).
- Awareness of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with Git, GitLab; Docker, Kubernetes.
- Basic cybersecurity principles.
- Interest or exposure to AI/ML concepts (LLM, RAG, Fine-Tuning).
- Basic knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Artemis.
