About the Role Schreiner University is seeking an Athletic Training Student Worker Level 1 to assist the athletic training staff in the Athletics department. The role involves supporting practice/game operations, maintaining the athletic training room, and assisting with treatments and rehabilitation under supervision of full-time athletic trainers.
What You'll Do
- Practice/game setup and takedown
- Maintenance of the Athletic Training Room
- Assisting treatments/rehabilitation exercises
- Coverage of practices and games
- Perform organizational responsibilities and help maintain safety protocols
- Assist with coverage of athletic events
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, athletes, and staff
What We're Looking For
- Enrolled as a full-time Schreiner University student
- Preferred: at least one year of experience as a student athletic trainer at the high school level
- CPR/AED certification preferred but not required
- High school student athletic training experience is a plus but not required
- Strong people skills and good work ethic
- Ability to lift heavy coolers and ice chests
- Ability to follow directions from supervisors, especially in emergency situations
- Ability to work well with others and maintain professional interactions
Nice to Have
- CPR/AED certification (preferred)
- At least one year of experience as a student athletic trainer at the high school level (preferred)
- High school student athletic training experience is a plus
