About the Role Schreiner University is seeking an Athletic Student Worker (Sports Information – Level 1) to support game-day operations, statistics, communications, and digital content for the Athletics department. This on-campus, part-time role involves writing game summaries, keeping live stats, photography/videography, website updates, and social media management to promote Schreiner athletics.
What You'll Do
- Write post-game summaries, previews, and feature articles.
- Prepare and take down setup for practices and games.
- Maintain live statistics for multiple sports using software (e.g., NCAA LiveStats, StatCrew, Genius).
- Capture photos and/or video during practices or games.
- Help manage and update the athletics website (rosters, schedules, scores, bios).
- Create and post content for social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook).
- Operate scoreboard, video equipment, or livestream production during games.
- Support department marketing and game-day management.
- Capture and edit photos/video for social media, archives, and publications.
- Distribute stats/reports to coaches and media in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with university and NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA branding guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- Be enrolled as a full-time Schreiner University student and maintain minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; reliable and punctual.
- Good people skills and ability to work well with others; professional interactions with supervisors.
- Willingness to work outdoors and handle event-based schedule.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
