Job title: Assurance Senior Associate
About the Role Join Baker Tilly US as an Assurance Senior Associate to deliver industry-focused audit and other assurance services to middle-market clients. This role is a trusted member of the engagement team with opportunities for growth, mentoring, and flexible work arrangements while maintaining strong client relationships.
What You'll Do
- Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various assurance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
- Proactively engage with clients throughout the year to gather needed information to complete testing and respond to questions raised.
- Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
- Review and perform substantive testing on client’s balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct and review tests to assess deficiencies of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
- Play an active role in discussions with the Manager and Partner relative to business recommendations resulting from testing performed and information gathered.
- Learn and grow from direct on-the-job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm-wide learning and development programs.
- Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clients.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.

What We're Looking For
- 4-year degree; CPA eligible; 3 years of experience.
- Minimum: CPA eligible; 3 years of experience; 2+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm; experience supporting Real Estate clients.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration and problem solving.
- Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills; initiative and adaptability.
- Microsoft Office suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
Nice to Have
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of the exam.
- Experience supporting Real Estate clients (if not covered above).
- Additional emphasis on leadership, initiative and adaptability (as noted above).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 78,000 – 103,940 per year.
