Associate Territory Sales Engineer

About the Role The Associate Territory Sales Engineer is responsible for field sales of Cognex ID and Vision products to assigned accounts, prospecting and selling to end users, machine builders and existing customers to meet or exceed sales quotas. The role requires growing and maintaining the territory and collaborating with the ASE on shared accounts. What You'll Do

• Achieve a defined sales quota for current and prospective customers in the designated territory
• Prospect for new sales opportunities via cold and warm leads to build a sustainable sales pipeline
• Conduct customer visits, acquire new customers, and introduce new products
• Demonstrate Cognex products and review applications to provide solutions at customer sites
• Maintain operational excellence with accurate forecasting and upward information flow
• Generate leads for other Cognex sales teams by collecting information on complex vision applications beyond current product capabilities
• Continuously update project details in CRM including competitive data
• Leverage Service Cloud to ensure pre- and post-sales customer experience
• Work with EU Sales Readiness team to provide pre- and post-sales support including application evaluations, DS/BG, technical questions, training, etc.
• Perform other duties as required

• Minimum education and experience: 0-3 years of related sales experience (technical sales experience preferred) in automation; a 4-year college degree in STEM or Business (non-STEM majors must pass a technical aptitude test)
