About the Role Associate Technical Architect – Java - J2EE/ SpringBoot, AWS to design, modernize, and deliver enterprise applications. You will leverage expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to support modernization initiatives, design scalable cloud-native solutions, and drive high-quality software delivery for enterprise customers.
What You'll Do
- Connect with clients for project briefing, consultation, installation, and close-out reviews.
- Support the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise Java applications, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Help manage customer demands to ensure maximum satisfaction and maintain quality; assist in creating comprehensive technical documents.
- Negotiate customer job demands and specifications regarding resources and infrastructure; supervise activities between internal and external resources to facilitate smooth workflow for service delivery.
- Evaluate project data for accuracy, set project targets and priorities, and provide training and mentorship to team members.
- Stay up to date with current field practices to enhance service standards and delivery; review customer technical demands and identify best approach for lifts and efficient use of delivered materials.
- Carry out other technical duties as required; ensure APIs are robust and maintainable; coordinate with the rest of the team across different layers of the infrastructure.
- Demonstrate collaboration and strong communication within distributed project teams; manage multitasking and prioritization.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Java application modernization, including upgrading legacy applications to newer Java LTS versions (Java 17/21/25) is preferred.
- Must have experience developing enterprise-level software and web applications using J2EE/ SpringBoot.
- Experience in API integration, application deployment, cloud architecture, and application security.
- Well-experienced with tools like Git, Maven, JFrog; solid OOP, and unit/integration testing; Agile-based development.
- Expertise in developing enterprise web applications and REST and SOAP APIs using MicroServices, with production-scale experience.
- Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of architecture requirements and ability to design, develop, validate, and support applications with strong problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of core AWS services, best practices, and experience with AWS CLI/SDKs; exposure to automated code modernization tools such as ATX is a plus.
- Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications on AWS; familiarity with AWS service APIs and tools.
- Experience in developing enterprise web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and REST API integration; ability to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with distributed teams and prioritizing tasks.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AWS Transform Custom (ATX) or similar automated code modernization tools is an added advantage.
